Jim Rice

Managing Member

While introduced to horse racing by his grandfather, as an owner Jim relies on strong partnerships and trainers to help make his decisions around purchasing, claiming and managing horses. Jim is a successful entrepreneur who founded and sold www.NautilusSolar.com. Jim is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and he served his country as a Nuclear trainer U.S. Naval Officer and submariner.  Jim currently resides in Charleston, SC with his wife Cindi.

Jenna Mourad

 

Head of Operations

Jenna is a seasoned equestrian with a longstanding passion for the industry. Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Equine Business Management before beginning her career as a Barn Manager and Riding Instructor at a prominent hunter/jumper facility.

She later expanded her professional path into Solar Energy Operations, where she led complex projects with a calm, confident, and solutions-driven approach. Now, Jenna is excited to bring that same steady direction, strategic mindset, and unwavering determination to the racing industry.

Samantha Hirsh

Digital Marketing Lead

Samantha brings a background in communications, digital marketing, and brand storytelling to Liberty House Racing. A graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing, she began her career in digital marketing before serving as Communications Manager at Seabrook Island Club, where she led communications, digital content, and social media initiatives.

With a passion for building brands and connecting audiences with compelling stories, Samantha is excited to bring her creative and strategic approach to the racing industry. She now leads Liberty House Racing’s digital presence, helping bring the stories from the barn to the track to a wider audience.

Horacio De Paz

Trainer/Advisor 

 

A native of Texas, Horacio got his first racetrack job at Louisiana Downs for trainer Eddie Reese. Horacio spent a year in Hall of Famer D. Wayne Lukas' operation.

In 2006 Horacio joined trainer Todd Pletcher as a foreman and exercise rider before he was hired as an assistant trainer at Sagamore Farms in 2011. In 2015 Horacio took over Head trainer duties at Sagamore Farms and excelled enough to continue his career as a public trainer in 2018. In 2021 he had his first graded stakes win, and he also trains Liberty House Racing’s first named winner, Full Court Press at Saratoga in 2021.

Lacey Gaudet.PNG

Lacey Gaudet

Trainer

Lacey Gaudet is a thoroughbred trainer, born and raised in Maryland. She is the daughter of longtime Mid-Atlantic trainers, Eddie and Linda Gaudet and while being brought up in the industry by her parents she has worked under many successful trainers in her career. Gaudet brings a hands-on approach with her stable being an exercise rider herself. Lacey currently resides in Upper Marlboro Maryland.

Kelley Corrigan

Kelley has a long history with horses as she started riding when she was 9 years old and started serious dressage when 14. She decided to go to the University of Maryland so she could stay close to home and continue to ride. Majored in economics and works as an insurance agent currently.  When we have a question about equine health, we ask Kelley! Her specialties include dressage, hunters, jumpers.

Len Green

CPA

Len is a trusted advisor with a fantastic background and a long-distinguished career as an entrepreneur, tax expert and a family business consultant. Len brings a wealth of thoroughbred knowledge to Liberty House Racing having been an owner, breeder, and consultant for over 30 years.  He has owned and bred many champion level horses being the Managing Partner of D.J. Stable, LLC.  He has won over 2300 races and owned over 40 Graded Stakes winners, including A Thread of Blue, Doitwithstyle, Helium, Jaywalk, Mo Green etc. while also earning eight individual leading

owner’s tiles at four different racetracks.  Len is also the Founder and Chairman of New Jersey based accounting and equine advisory firm, The Green Group which specializes in the thoroughbred industry.  Len is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Owner/Management Program

while also holding a degree in Taxation from New York University in addition to his undergrad degree from Rutgers University.  He teaches Entrepreneurship at Babson College, the #1 College in Entrepreneurship in the United States.
